  • Diana Panton has quietly become one of the brightest lights on the jazz scene today. Her work has been consistently praised by listeners and music critics alike for her ethereal vocals, exceptional song selection and emotional intensity.

    Her keen aesthetic sense has attracted the attention of some of the jazz world’s most respected masters. When Order of Canada and legendary multi-instrumentalist Don Thompson first heard Panton sing at age 19, he recommended she audition for the reputed jazz workshop at the Banff Center for the Arts (Canada). When the time finally arrived to go into the studio, national award-winning guitarist Reg Schwager was invited to join Don Thompson for some stellar accompaniment behind Panton’s pure vocals.

    Since her initial CD release, Panton has published impressive catalogue of internationally acclaimed albums have garnered numerous honours, including two JUNO wins, five JUNO nominations, nine Hamilton Music Awards, a host of National Jazz Award nominations, Canadian and American Independent Music Award nominations. Panton was named the 2017 Woman of Distinction in Arts/Culture/Design by the Hamilton YWCA.
     
    These 16 tracks includes classic jazz songs, and songs in movies and in musicals. What’s more, we invite the well-known guitar master Reg Schwager and Neil Swainson who is responsible for bass.
     
     

    Bass - Neil Swainson
    Neil Swainson is one of Canada’s top jazz musicians—a consummate bass player and band leader.Five recordings on which Neil Swainson plays have won Canada’s JUNO Award. A collaboration between Swainson and pianist; George Shearing would form in 1986 to 2011. They have travelled playing all across the world. They played with musicians including Joe Henderson、James Moody、Lee Konitz、Don Thompson、George Coleman、Woody Shaw etc.
     
     

    Guitar - Reg Schwagerand
    Reg Schwager is known as one of Canada's leading jazz guitarists.
    Reg has been the recipient of the Guitarist of the Year award from Canada's National Jazz Awards for four consecutive years (2005-2008). Reg has written hundreds of jazz compositions, he has toured extensively across Canada and worldwide with George Shearing, Diana Krall, Peter Appleyard, Rob McConnell and many others.
